Art that comes alive

Your work,
alive.

We bring your work to life, respecting every stroke. In your own online gallery, all year round, and in live shows, every two months.

Ernesto de la Cárcova Without Bread and Without Work, 1894 Oil on canvas · animated with artificial intelligence

Technology in the service of your work.
Never the other way round.

Why bring it to life

Your work in motion, alive, as you imagined it

When you imagine a work, you don't see it still. You see the wind in someone's hair, water running, light shifting on a wall. You live with it in motion for days, sometimes months.

Then you take it to canvas, paper or screen, and that movement stays locked inside. What you felt as you made it, each person who looks at it lives in their own way, depending on how they feel that day. With movement, your work reaches them and moves them.

We give it back the movement you imagined: with your brushwork, your colours and your composition, adding nothing that isn't there. And nothing is published until you say “that's how I dreamed it”.

  1. It makes people stop

On social media people scroll past hundreds of still images. When a work breathes, the thumb stops.

  2. It makes them stay

Viewers don't just see your work: they step into it. Your panel shows which works people linger on.

  3. It tells what a still image can't

The mood, the moment, what you were going through when you made it.

  4. It reaches the room

With augmented art, anyone who points a phone at your printed work sees it move.

  5. It stays yours

You decide how it moves and you approve it. It's shown only on our website, always with your credit.

Your work is finished. Now let people see it the way you imagined it.

I want my work to come alive

What we do for your work

Two ways for it to come alive

All year round

Your online gallery

Your own page, with your name in the address.

  1. You send us your works. If they are physical, we digitise them, taking care of colour and texture.
  2. We animate the ones you choose, respecting your palette, your stroke and your composition.
  3. You approve every animation and we publish your gallery.

You book it yourself, from USD 30 for the two months.

Every two months

The live shows

An in-person show with a new theme.

  1. We choose the theme of the next show.
  2. We invite the artists whose work speaks to that theme.
  3. At the venue, visitors scan a code and your work comes alive on a big screen.

It's by invitation: tell us about your work and we'll keep you in mind.

Keep me in mind

Experiences

Two ways to meet a work

Technology put at the service of the work, not the other way round. These are the two experiences we set up at our physical shows: a totem with codes and a screen, and a camera that reads how people are looking. Miradas can also be tried from any phone, without going to the show.

Scan with your phone

Obra Viva

You scan. The work wakes up.

A totem with one QR code per work and a large screen beside it. Visitors scan with their phone, the work animates on the screen, and the details of the work and the artist arrive on their phone.

It happens at the show: we bring the totem and the screen and set them up ourselves.

Miradas

The work looks back at you.

While someone contemplates a work, the app shows them live how they are looking at it: attention, wonder, delight. At the end they take away a card of their visit to share.

At the show it runs on a screen beside the work, and it also works on any phone. The camera is processed on the phone itself: no image is recorded or sent.

Themed shows

A new theme every two months

Six shows a year. Every two months we put together a show around a new theme, and for each one we invite the artists whose work speaks to that theme: digital and traditional, side by side.

Who we are

Three worlds, one single work

Art, technology and relationships. Each of us comes from a different world; where they cross, works come alive.

Art Technology Relationships
At the crossing, Digital Living Art.

Art

The creative one

Dani Varela

Digital artist

He sees a still work and already pictures it moving. He is the artistic eye of the team: he decides what gets animated, how, and how far, so that every work still belongs to whoever made it.

Technique: imagination on screen. No drying time required.

Technology

The engineer

Ale Mitaritonna

Artificial intelligence and technology

He is the one who masters artificial intelligence and puts it to work for art, never the other way round. He builds everything you don't see: the animations, the reading of gazes, and the totems that wake the works up.

Technique: code, artificial intelligence and infinite patience.

Relationships

The connector

Caro Ingrassia

Marketing and sales

The marketing and sales brain. She weaves the ties with galleries, venues and audiences, brings us down to earth when we need it, and turns every idea into a show with a date, a place and people in it.

Technique: a diary, contacts and common sense, in equal parts.

At the centre

The boss

Bruno

Director of emotional support

He isn't on the org chart because the org chart is his. He supervises every meeting from on top of the keyboard and signs off projects with a slow blink. He's the one who inspires us, usually asleep.

Technique: sustained purring. A living work since day one.

Included in all three plans

Your exhibiting artist certificate

When your gallery goes live, you keep a certificate in your name with a QR code that leads straight to your gallery. You download it as a PDF from your panel and use it wherever you like: your portfolio, an application, the studio wall.

Exhibiting artist certificate in the name of Camila Duarte, with the QR code leading to her gallery
This is how it looks. The name, the discipline, the plan, the date it has been published since, and the code that leads to their gallery.

Included in the Room plan

Miradas

Miradas reads your expression while you look at a work: the attention you give it, your focus, your delight and your wonder. It shows you live and, at the end, leaves you a card with the shape of your visit.
In your gallery your own audience uses it, standing in front of your works.

The screen while it reads: the work, the face in points and the meters
As they contemplate, they see their face drawn in points —never their image— and four meters: attention, focus, delight and wonder.
The card at the end, with the state and the shape of the visit
At twenty seconds they take away their card: the state that prevailed and the shape of their visit. That is what they share afterwards.
The room screen: the face in points, large
At a physical show it runs on a screen beside your work, and starts on its own when someone stands in front of it.

No image ever leaves the phone. Everything is processed right there, no photo is stored and nobody is identified: the camera switches off as soon as the reading ends.
